Session Recorder for Mac
Always-on system audio recorder for your Mac studio.

Always-on system audio recorder for your Mac studio.
Session Recorder is an always-on tape deck for your Mac. It quietly captures the mix of everything coming out of your speakers - your DAW, reference tracks, calls - using a native macOS audio tap, with no drivers to install and no routing to configure. When an idea flies by before anyone hits record, you can scrub back, mark it, and export it for real.
One click, or the system-wide shortcut Control-Option-Command-M from any app, stamps the current moment with real wall-clock time and drops a marker on the session waveform, so you can jump straight back to the idea and add a note when you get a second. Playback inside Session Recorder is excluded at the OS level, so you can review a take while the tape is still rolling without any feedback.
The free version records continuously and keeps the most recent 30 minutes on disk, like a loop of tape. Pro lifts the limit: the same session keeps everything from that moment on, sample-exact, and adds full session history and playback, lossless WAV (32-bit float, 24-bit and 16-bit) or AAC, clip export to WAV, AIFF and AAC, a silence-stripped session master, and AU and VST3 plugins that sit on the master bus in Logic, Ableton Live, Reaper, Cubase and Studio One.
Pro is a one-time 49 USD purchase - no subscription and no account. A signed license key arrives by email and is valid on one Mac at a time, transferable whenever you move machines. Whole-system capture runs at roughly 2% of one CPU core with no dropped samples.
